Week 3 blog
Week 3:
In our meeting we discussed what further steps we could make given our amazon components had arrived. Our group was able to finish the Arduino and sensors to make them work together without any issues. This was a huge checkpoint as the project worked, although this did not last long as other issues began arising. The project was initially built with cardboard to later be changed to the CAD designs. The sensors were able to pick up the colour and move the servo attached to the part of the cardboard. Different members created different CAD designs as prototypes. Due to weak sensors or the skittles being too light in terms of colour and reflecting light back, the project had to be changed to buttons instead of skittles. This was a big change as dimensions were required to be changed for all the CAD components and added a delay to the 3D printing to be sent off. The bottom picture shows the skittles going down the hollow cylinder to be rotated into the cup they should be in.
